In 2008, Shenyang Weizhong Revolving Machinery Co., Ltd. engineered a high-performance logistical solution for Metso Tianjin’s heavy-duty painting workshop. Tasked with handling massive industrial components, we delivered two 5.3-meter diameter rail turntables designed to streamline the movement of rail carts loaded with 60 tons of machinery into specialized paint chambers.
The primary engineering challenge was ensuring alignment precision within 0.5 mm. This extreme accuracy is vital for the seamless transition of heavy carts from the workshop’s fixed tracks onto the rotating platform. Leveraging our proprietary Pin-Gear Drive technology, the turntables provide high-torque rotation with micro-angular control, ensuring that even under maximum load, the tracks align perfectly every time.
To thrive in the humid and chemical-rich environment of a painting facility, the turntables feature a reinforced steel structure protected by high-grade corrosion-resistant coatings. Paired with custom-engineered heavy-duty bearings, the system offers unmatched stability and a long operational lifespan with minimal maintenance. The integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) allows operators to preset exact rotation angles, eliminating manual adjustments and significantly reducing production downtime.
This project underscores Weizhong’s expertise in merging massive load-bearing capacity with surgical precision. By solving Metso’s logistical challenges, our rotary solutions have transformed their internal operations, reinforcing our reputation as a global leader in custom turntables for the world's most demanding industrial environments.
